Carilion's Camp Too Sweet - Kids Having Fun and Learning to Manage Diabetes

Share this:

Having diabetes can be tough when you're a kid. You have to eat differently, take medication or shots, or even wear a mechanical pump. Carilion Clinic's Camp Too Sweet gives kids a chance to enjoy being with their peers without feeling different, and teaches diabetic self-management skills that can prevent serious complications later in life. Thanks to WDBJ for featuring Camp Too Sweet and Carilion Pediatric Endocrinologist Dr. Erica Reynolds
