Homestyle Meatloaf
Ingredients
1 (15-ounce) can chunky garlic-andherb
tomato sauce, divided
1 pound ground turkey
1/4 pound ground round
2/3 cup toasted wheat germ
1/2 cup minced fresh onion
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large egg, lightly beaten
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°. Combine 1
cup tomato sauce, turkey, and next
8 ingredients (turkey through egg)
in a large bowl, and stir until wellblended.
Place turkey mixture in
an 8 x 4-inch loaf pan coated with
cooking spray. Brush remaining
tomato sauce over top. Bake at 350°
for 1 hour and 5 minutes. Let stand
10 minutes. Remove meat loaf from
pan. Cut into 12 slices.
