A multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled, parallel-group study to investigate the efficacy and safety of RO4995819 versus placebo, as adjunctive therapy in patients with major depressive disorder having inadequate response to ongoing antidepressant treatment

PROTOCOL DESCRIPTION

This study is seeking participants who have Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and are finding that their symptoms are not completely controlled on the medication that they already take. This study is looking at adding a new study drug to that medication to see if the two products together help provide better control.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Patients MUST:

  • Be 18 - 65 years of age
  • Have been diagnosed as having Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
  • Have symptoms that are not completely controlled by their current medication(s)
