Development of critical reading of scientific works in our field is part of our secondary goal of learning—principles of research. Actual participation in research is an option, which is fostered by our new links with Virginia Technical Institute.

Research interests of our faculty span the range between basic research in developmental neurophysiology, and applied clinical work such as substance abuse prevention and ethics.

An active contingent of our faculty is exploring possible joint research opportunities in physiology of working memory, in collaboration with other research teams. Members of our faculty hold doctoral degrees, in research fields to include Ethology, Education and Neurophysiology. The new fellows are encouraged to share and develop their own ideas for individual or shared research enterprise, in either basic or applied clinical domains of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
