At Carilion Clinic Children's Hospital, parents whose children have a pediatric blood disorder or pediatric cancer don't ever have to feel they must make a choice between expert treatment and warm, supportive care—we emphasize both. We know that a child's cancer or blood disorder can present extraordinary physical, emotional and social challenges not just for the patient but for the whole family. We're here with you every step of the way.

Our specialists work collaboratively to provide a variety of services and treatments in a child-friendly, family-centered environment. It's our mission to provide your child with compassionate and coordinated care—including state-of-the-art treatment delivered by a team that consists of physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, psychologists, child life specialists, dieticians, social workers, chaplains, pharmacists, case managers and volunteers. Our integrated approach also provides access to many of our pediatric subspecialty areas for coordination of treatments and services. Carilion Clinic Cancer Center physicians work collaboratively with our specialists in pediatric oncology/hematology to treat children, infancy through the teenage years, with blood disorders and cancer.
