Keeping Our Student Athletes Safe
Carilion is proud to enjoy a unique relationship with the schools in our community and the student athletes who attend them here in the Roanoke Valley.
Sports injuries happen suddenly. Fast treatment makes all the difference. Through our community partnership, we have Carilion Clinic athletic trainers working at many area high schools. Because we’re already there, before we’re needed, we are able to treat a sprain, fracture, or more serious issue immediately. Our specialists also act as team physicians for almost every high school in the Roanoke Valley. When one of our coaches or certified athletic trainers recommends that a young athlete see a doctor, we will get that student an appointment within 24 to 48 hours.
By providing a constant presence in the schools and at every game, meet, and match throughout our community, we are proud to be able to provide the quickest and best care possible
