All our medical surveillance programs satisfy strict OSHA requirements, and all post-incident testing isdone in accordance with OSHA standards. Our medical review officers are certified by the Medical Review Officer Certification Council.
Carilion personnel are all trained in applicable federal and state regulations. Specimens for drug screens are collected according to mandatory guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug Testing Programs and we are meticulous in maintaining specimen integrity and accurate chain-of-custody.
Breath alcohol testing is performed by Certified Breath Alcohol Technicians.
Audiometric screening is completed by Certified Audiometric Technicians. The laboratory we use is certified by the Department of Health and Human Services. And through Carilion's EAP, we can provide you with licensed and certified Substance Abuse Professionals.
