Carilion Occupational Medicine (COM), a full-service occupational health provider since 1985, serves more than 900 businesses in the Roanoke Valley. COM helps companies meet federal and state regulatory requirements by providing consultation, physical exams, and medical surveillance. COM also partners with local businesses to provide accident treatment and injury management services with a strong return-to-work emphasis.
COM provides regulatory and compliance services, as well as integrated preventive programs that address specific workplace issues and employee health risk factors. Key program goals are to keep employees on the job by increasing awareness of potential health concerns, and return them to work quickly and safely in the event of an injury or illness.
Carilion Occupational Medicine specializes in the treatment of exposures to toxic substances, infectious or communicable diseases, and other work-related conditions requiring medical monitoring and screening. COM offers:
