Second Annual Mutt Strut
Join us for a fun day in the park with contests, parades and much more. The Mutt Strut is fun for the whole family and all proceeds will support Carilion Clinic Hospice. Don’t miss the chance to meet our pet therapy dogs, shop at our vendor market and enjoy face painting, caricatures and the "Blessing of the Paws."

- 10:30 a.m. Dawg-Owner Look-a-Like (stage)
- 10:45 a.m. Canine Cake Walk (beside stage)
- 11 a.m. Hospice Therapy Dog Fresentation (stage)
- 11:15 a.m. Blessing of the Paws (beside stage)
- 11:30 a.m. Smallest Dog Presentation (stage)
- 11:45 a.m. Largest Dog Presentation (stage)
- 12 noon Parade of the Dogs - hosted by T.V. personality - led by a Mascot dog
- 12:30 p.m. Pooch Frisbee/Ball Retrieval (inside the ballfield)
- 12:45 p.m. Doggie Limbo/High Jump (inside the ballfield)
- 1 p.m. Canine Maze (inside the ballfield)
- 1:30 p.m. Canine Cake Walk (beside the stage)
- 1:45 p.m Prize Drawings
- 2 p.m. Kroger Best in Show Awarded
Throughout the day:
Professional Pet Photography, Canine Caricatures, Face Painting (for kids), Balloon Dog Sculptures, Bubble Play Area, Concessions and Bake Sale and a vendor area with everything for pets and pet lovers!
All dogs must be leashed and have proof of Rabies vaccination. Registration is required.
Carilion Clinic Hospice provides symptom management, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support for terminally ill patients of all ages.
