Welcome From the Program Director
Our Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship prepares physicians for leadership roles in clinical and academic palliative medicine as well as for medical directorships within hospice programs. This fellowship offers three dimensions of education: clinical, academic, and research.
The goal of the program is to deliver unequaled learning opportunities in hospice and palliative medicine so that our graduates will succeed anywhere in the world as highly competent and compassionate physicians. It is the goal of our program that all graduates with become board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine through the ABMS.
We strive to offer an excellent and rewarding educational experience that will prepare fellows to not only thrive as a physician, but also to be a thought leader in our rapidly changing and challenging healthcare environment. As a member of the Carilion Clinic - Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine community, I welcome you to learn more about our program by exploring this website and reviewing the fellowship handbook.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions.
