MUSCULOSKELETAL MEDICINE RESIDENCY TRAINING

Our OMM curriculum is integrated into our 3 year curriculum. The first month of internship, there is a 3 hour OMM workshop for both osteopathic and allopathic interns. During the 3 years, osteopathic interns and residents are encouraged to integrate OMM into their patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Main osteopathic topics and OMM workshops are taught during our conference time to both osteopathic and allopathic residents. In addition, small group workshops designed to build osteopathic skills are offerred both at Carilion Clinic and Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and our osteopathic residents are encouraged to attend.

Our osteopathic faculty is Richard Truxillo, D.O. Local community faculty, David Harden, D.O. and John Boone, D.O. also provide their expertise in Osteopathic Medicine and teach workshops at our conferences.
