The Psychology of Weight Loss

Wednesday 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
South County Library | 6303 Merriman Rd | Roanoke

You've probably heard the saying "mind over matter."  And when it comes to losing weight, our brains definitely play a role.  You may even find yourself asking: Why is it so hard for me to lose weight?  Will a new diet trend work for me?  Are weight loss drugs really safe?  For answers to these questions and more, join us for an informative presentation on the psychology of weight loss.

Glenn Kent, Ph.D., is currently a researcher and assistant professor of health psychology at Jefferson College of Health Sciences.  With experience as a university wellness director, healthcare administrator, personal trainer, and fitness entrepreneur, Kent has made a lifelong commitment to the study of health.

Registration is required.  For registration and more information, call Carilion Clinic at 800-422-8482.
