Carilion Clinic will be offering free stroke screenings to include: blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol (lipid panel), lower extremity pressure check (Ankle-brachial index), carotid ultrasound, same day results reviewed with a physician, and stroke prevention education will be available.

Carilion Clinic Hospice, the Volunteer Council of Franklin County, and the Williard Companies present the 16th Annual Smooth Sailing Card Party and Luncheon. Proceeds directly benefit terminally ill patients being treated by Carilion Clinic Hospice in Franklin County through the Patient Care Fund, which provides medication, oxygen, food, medical supplies, phone services, and clothing.

Carilion Clinic's Health Walk partnership with Booker T. Washington National Monument Park and the National Park Services Healthy Parks and Healthy People initiative begins in April. Each walk will be held on the second Saturday of each month and will begin at 10:00 a.m.
The park's 1.5 mile Jack-O-Lantern Branch trail meanders along Gills Creek through a peaceful wooded area and is rated easy with some mild eleveation. Each walk will include some discussion about a halth related topic, led by a Carilion Clinic '"trail guide." Join us for this fun event!
