The orthopaedic team at Carilion Clinic works closely with the Emergency Department to make sure fracture cases resulting from trauma has the greatest possible chance for successful recovery.

While many fractures usually go on to heal, trauma cases often require additional specialization because of the complicated breaks and the loss of skin and muscle resulting from the trauma.
