warning: failure to vote can be hazardous to your child's health

Like me, you are probably sick and tired of the numerous negative ads on TV and radio for the presidential candidates. And you are tiered of picking up the phone to listen to a representative from the RNC or DNC urging you to vote for their candidate. You might be scared of what could happen if the “other” candidate wins.

This is a high stakes election for many reasons. I am not going to tell you HOW to vote, just that you MUST VOTE. I am distressed that there was no discussion of issues affecting the health of children by the presidential candidates. Therefore, you need to make you voice heard. The way to begin is to vote. Then you can urge the winner to do the right thing by and for our children.

The American Academy of Pediatrics this year has spent much effort on getting out the vote, because it is critical to the health and well-being of the children of today and tomorrow. Issues such as making Medicaid equal to Medicare in payments for physicians, thus securing access to care for millions of kids are not often debated or even considered.

AAP Charlie is urging you to vote. Kids can’t vote, but you CAN and you must. Our slogan is:

”I care for Kids and I vote”

Do YOU care for or about Kids?

If so, then SHOW IT, AND GO VOTE.
