Carilion’s two largest hospitals, Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH) Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital (CRCH), are located in Roanoke. Known as the “Star City of the South,” Roanoke is a perfect combination of nature and city life.

  • Along the Blue Ridge Parkway, there are many hiking trails, camping areas and a mountaintop zoo to enjoy.

Stroll through downtown Roanoke for a collection of shops, boutiques and restaurants. Jog or bike on one of the city’s many greenways, take in a play or visit Center in the Square, a dynamic downtown cultural center featuring a variety of museums.

Roanoke’s neighboring towns of Salem and Vinton, as well as Botetourt County and Franklin County, offer many social amenities and recreational and cultural events, too.
