We believe in rewarding you for your dedication and accomplishments. As an R.N., our Career Advancement Program (CAP) rewards you as you demonstrate enhanced abilities through patient care, education and committee work. As you progress in the program, you will receive increased bonuses and recognition. The program helps you develop your skills in education, leadership, research or clinical practice based on your interests and talents.

The Extras

We recognize the important role that education plays in direct patient care by providing a one-time base-pay rate education adjustment for completing additional education beyond a position's required level. Amounts vary and are based on your years of experience, your position's requirements and your qualifications.

In addition to the education adjustment, we also offer certification bonuses. We award bonuses for non-required certifications to employees in eligible positions. You may be compensated for more than one eligible certification.

As an R.N. with two years of experience, you also are eligible for a one-time base-pay rate experience adjustment. If you have less than two years of experience, your base rate is adjusted automatically when you reach the two-year mark.

  • Pay differentials and premiums, based on your position and the shift you work
  • A retention officer who is available to help you transfer an out-of-state license to Virginia and provide you with career transition services
