October is SIDS Awareness Month

Nationwide, 13 babies die each day from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome

SIDS is one of the leading causes of infant deaths (1-12 months), and many of these deaths are attributed to unsafe sleep environments.
Please remember the ABC’s of safe sleep to help protect your child:
A- Alone A child should always sleep alone in their own bed.
B- Back A child should always be placed on their back to sleep at nap time and
night time.
C- Crib A child’s crib should be safe, and have a firm tight fitting mattress. It should be free of any blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, bumper pads, etc.
