on the topic of alcohol energy drinks

A few posts back http://www.carilionclinic.org/blogs/ackerman/2010/11/12/alcohol-energy-drinks/, I spoke about the dangers of alcohol energy drinks. The NY Times reported today that the FDA is expected to make a decision about the drinks perhaps as early as tomorrow.

You can see the NY Times article by clicking the link below http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/16/us/16drinks.html?_r=1&hp In the article it is suggested that the FDA will not issue an outright ban of the drinks, but most likely send a letter to the various manufacturers that the drinks are to be considered dangerous. It may list a date by which it is suggested that they be voluntarily removed from the market.

Apparently some teens and young adults are actively hoarding the drinks in advance of the likely limited availability to come. Look around your homes, be certain your teen isn't hoarding this stuff. Too many kids have already been hospitalized or have died as a result of over-ingestion of these beverages. Don't let yours be next.
