Sometimes we all need a little help with certain situations. Whether it’s raising children, coping with stress in work and family life, experiencing a debilitating illness or handling a death in the family, it’s good to have a skilled professional to turn to during difficult times.
Carilion Clinic’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is here to help both our internal customers (employees, Human Resources, Family members and management) and 110 external client companies who are under contract with us. These participating companies provide the confidential counseling service for their employees and dependant family members as a free benefit.
EAP:
- gives employees and family members the opportunity to get through the demands of life and work by identifying practical solutions before the pressures become overwhelming and costly;
- works with its clients to help guide and help managers handle difficult employees; and
- provides consultation and training in personality conflicts, stress management, work teams and conflict resolution.
EAP services are confidential and designed to help employees with their problems without jeopardizing their privacy, pay, or promotion status at work.
