da Vinci® Basics
The da Vinci® Surgical System consists of a surgeon's console, a patient-side cart, a high performance vision system and proprietary instruments.
Using the da Vinci® Surgical System, the surgeon operates a console showing a 3-D image of the surgical field. The surgeon uses instrument controls below the display to seamlessly translate the surgeon's movements into precise, real-time movements of surgical instruments inside the patient.
