Visiting Medical Students
Diverse Experiences at Carilion Clinic
All medical student visits within Carilion's facilities are arranged through Carilion's Visiting Student Affairs Office.
Students currently enrolled in medical school and medical school graduates may apply for shadow visits.
Third-year clinical rotations are available to students from Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine only.
Fourth-year electives and selectives are available to fourth-year students in good standing from affiliated medical schools.
Under no circumstances may a student make arrangements with a faculty or staff member without following the applicable process.
