Carilion Clinic’s fully-integrated vascular services provide direct access to the interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization lab for comprehensive imaging studies, testing, and treatment for an array of vascular diseases. Vascular procedures differ from cardio or cardiothoracic procedures — vascular surgeons are consulted for any diagnosis and management of the vascular system (arteries and veins). Cardiothoracic surgeons are focused primarily on the heart, lungs and chest.
