Pediatric Dentistry
Carilion Clinic Children’s Hospital is committed to giving children access to proper dental care. Our hospital-based pediatric dental program provides comprehensive services for children who have limited access to dental care. We offer preventive and restorative procedures for healthy children as well as those who are medically, physically and developmentally disabled.
Our program began in 2001 with funding from a number of sponsors. We serve children from birth to age 21, with the goal of increasing access and improving oral health. In partnership with the Community Based Health Care Coalition, our clinic has improved the oral health of thousands of children.
This program was made possible by financial support from the Virginia Health Care Foundation, the Carilion Community Health Fund, the Maupin-Sizemore Foundation, Delta Dental of Virginia and numerous private donors.
