While your child is a patient at Carilion Clinic Children’s Hospital, you have the responsibility to:

- Provide appropriate care for your child
- Meet your financial obligations
- Be respectful and considerate of the rights of other patients, staff and visitors

- Respect and personal dignity
- Care that supports you as a family
- Information you can understand
- Quality healthcare
- Emotional support
- Care that respects your child’s growth and development
- Participate in making decisions about your child’s care
