Outpatient Rehabilitation Services at Carilion Clinic in Virginia
Our Outpatient Services Program is geared toward meeting each person’s individual psychological, physiological, medical, sociological and financial needs while helping them return to their highest level of independence following an illness, injury or surgery.
Our highly-trained staff is dedicated to providing you with a personalized approach to rehabilitation. We understand that each person's needs are unique and as a team, we approach each patient's care individually. Our team approach is reinforced through weekly meetings where progress and goals are reviewed and updated.
Carilion Clinic offers comprehensive outpatient speech, physical and occupational therapy at its RAC and BAC locations as well as at CNRV. Some of the services provided by our highly credentialed staff include:
- Aquatic Therapy
- Balance Evaluation and Vestibular Rehabilitation
- Functional Capacity Exams
- Hand and Upper Extremity Rehabilitation
- Pre- and Post-Laryngectomy Treatment
- Lymphedema Management
- Incontinence Therapy
- Rehab for Post-op/Post-injury Sports, Orthopedec and Musculoskeletal Conditions
- Stroke and Head Injury Rehabilitation
- Swallowing Therapy
Admission Guidelines
- Will benefit from at least two intensive therapies including: physical, occupational or speech therapy.
- Can tolerate a minimum of three hours per visit.
- Will benefit from a comprehensive interdisciplinary team approach that may include medical supervision, nursing education, or psychological support.
- Returns home in the evenings.
