Today’s hospitalized patient is more acutely ill than in the past and requires comprehensive and complex treatment plans. Carilion Clinic’s Hospitalists are the highly trained physicians that you want on your side in your time of need.
Our group was created five years ago in an attempt to improve the efficiency as well as the continuity of care offered to our adult hospitalized patients. We strive to give complete and comprehensive care to every patient.
We offer comprehensive care to our patients starting at admission, whether on transfer from a referring community physician or through the Emergency Department, then following them through Intensive Care Units to Step-down units and eventually to discharge.
As a tertiary care and regional referral center, Carilion Clinic’s goal of continued growth will allow our group to grow as well and better serve the needs of the hospitalized adult patient from our community and beyond.
