Carilion Clinic is pleased to provide this peace of mind to visitors and residents of the Smith Mountain Lake area through its new Urgent Care facility, formerly located within Carilion Clinic’s Internal Medicine practice, now located at Carilion Clinic - Westlake.
Urgent Care Hours
- Monday – Friday, 1-8 p.m.
- Weekends, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Holidays, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Services at Carilion Clinic Urgent Care are competitively priced and, depending on insurance coverage, are comparable to a visit to a primary care physician. Insurance co-pays for urgent care are often significantly lower than emergency room care.
Urgent care is designed for patients who have an illness or injury that needs to be addressed quickly, but is not an “emergency.” Now an earache, cut or minor sprain may not require a trip to the emergency room.
