Carilion Clinic's Cancer Center provides outpatient care to patients in and around our community. The focus of the Cancer Center is to provide comprehensive cancer treatment across all disciplines. Regular meetings are held between various specialties in order to coordinate the most appropriate care for each individual patient. The center also offers state-of-the-art technology including Virginia's only CyberKnife radiosurgery technology. It is a remarkable breakthrough for treating lesions diagnosed as inoperable and delivers highly focused radiation with pinpoint accuracy to treat cancer and other diseases quickly and painlessly.
The Carilion Breast Care Center offers both breast screening and diagnostic services. Innovation and advances in technology enhance the ability of physicians and technologists to provide accurate screening and prompt diagnosis. Our biopsy procedures enable the patient accurate diagnosis and in most cases, 24 hour notification of results, without having to go to the hospital for biopsy.
