Breastfeeding and Lactation
Carilion Clinic is dedicated to providing care and support to breastfeeding families. Through our educational classes, expert staff and accessible service, we offer advantages to the mother, baby and whole family. We provide guidelines and techniques for successful breastfeeding and find solutions to common problems.
Many of our nurses in the delivery and postpartum units have received additional education in breastfeeding instruction. Additional lactation services are offered in various Carilion Clinic locations.
